Last night my friends and I visited the Bodytree Studio which hosted a wonderful event called “A Mystical Evening” together with Mala B. The studio was decorated with fairy lights and hygge (Danish word for coziness) style ambiance, which gave an over all “zen” feeling.

We first checked out the “Glam Corner” which offered postural analysis, manicures and express massages by Sugar Beauty Lounge, Glitterbox touch ups and WoMn natural skincare products. After a quick manicure (I finally found that yellow colour I was looking for!) – we had an Angel card reading, something I never quite experienced before, but was an interesting touch.

In the background, beautiful poetry and light music by the talented Dana Dajani from The Human Spirit Project was being performed, while ladies gathered around a large colouring table to get their creativity flowing. We then visited the lovely pop up “Bazaar” which featured lifestyle brands like The Luxury Arcade, Sioux, Mama’s Garden, The Hot Box Kit, Bright Stella Fashion, YApparel and FitPlum showcasing their products.

Art Central had a pop up stand selling photographs, canvases, stationary and colouring books – all designed to ignite one’s creativity. For those who have never been, Art Central, located in Boutik Mall on Al Reem Island, is a hub for art lovers offering everything from materials to collections and workshops.

To finish off our mystical evening, we gulped down magical unicorn smoothies from Nectar which was made from blueberries, strawberries and almond milk – I mean it can’t get more girly than that! The event was not only creative, indeed magical in the sense that I felt so much positivity and peaceful vibes, but also selfless as all the proceeds were donated to Zataari Refugee Camp in Jordan. I was delightfully pleased to attend such an event during Ramadan, amid all the Iftars and Sohours being organized in hotel tents, and am  very happy to see Abu Dhabi community embracing the spirit of creativity and giving, more and more every year!
